What is ForAnu.com mission?
Foranu was born out of the need for better car insurance shopping experience. In the maze of 100's of insurance companies each claiming to save 100's of dollars, we want to help users find good insurance companies providing cheap insurance rates, quickly.
What is ForAnu.com "Elevator Pitch"?
Foranu is collaboration driven free service where users anonymously enter their minimal car insurance data and then users can search other user's anonymous car insurance data to find the best car insurance rate. This lets users save time and money in finding cheap car insurance rates.
How does Foranu.com service work?
Foranu was born out of the need for better car insurance shopping experience. Currently when people shop for insurance, they face mostly the below 2 issues:
- Lack of automated way to know which insurance company can provide them the best insurance rate.
- Confusion caused by too many car insurance companies claiming to save money on insurance.
That's where Foranu comes in. At ForAnu, we have a simple mantra - Create, Search, Save
- Create: Users will input their basic car insurance related data like age, marital status, credit score, etc. (We do not collect personal information like name, address, phone number, etc.) in a small 2 page form. The form takes less than a minute to complete
- Search: Users can query based on age, marital status, location, etc. and we show following results.
- Car Insurance Company.
- Car Insurance Company Service rating.
- Insurance rate (computed for 6 months).
- Car Insurance Company website link
- Save: Users save time and money by knowing which car insurance company provides good rates for users with similar profile. Users can also sign up for email alerts, where we will email the users results every 6 months if we find others users with similar profiles paying lower insurance rates.

What technologies are used at Foranu?
ForAnu makes use of the following technologies
- ASP.Net 2.0: We used ASP.Net 2.0 Web Technologies. The Language used is Visual Basic.Net.
- SQL 2000: We use SQL 2000 as our database. It’s easy to use as well as ideal for database intensive application like ours
- DotNetNuke: ForAnu is based on DotNetNuke. DotNetNuke is an Open Source Framework ideal for creating Enterprise Web Applications.
- AJAX: We used AJAX for quick retrieval and display of results to the users.
- Photoshop: We used Photoshop for creating those cool images you see on the homepage.
- Dream weaver: We used Dream weaver to create the cool website template.
Who are we?
ForAnu was founded by Anuradha Khandagale and is currently maintained and developed by a team of well experienced professionals. We have been getting great response from users. We are working tirelessly to fix issues, add features, etc. So if you are developer with ASP.Net 2.0 \ SQL Server 2000 \ DotNetNuke experience and want to work on this cool project.
